People & Cultures

The Importance of People & Cultures in your conservation story.

After exploring the art of wildlife and conservation storytelling, it’s time to turn the lens toward another vital part of the story — people. Our new People & Cultures Storytelling Program invites you to discover the beauty, resilience, and depth of human life across landscapes where nature and culture intertwine.

Building on the skills you’ve honed in wildlife photography and cinematography, this program extends your storytelling practice from the wild to the world of communities. These people share space with nature, whose traditions, livelihoods, and stories are at the heart of conservation.

You’ll learn how to prepare for cultural expeditions with sensitivity and respect, mastering both photographic and cinematic techniques that bring human stories to life with authenticity and emotion. We’ll guide you in building trust with subjects, understanding cultural contexts, and capturing real moments — from the rhythm of daily life to the extraordinary celebrations that define identity.

Just as in wildlife storytelling, you’ll focus on anticipating moments and creating character-led narratives, but now with human voices, faces, and experiences leading your frame. You’ll explore how to balance visual beauty with more profound meaning — telling stories that connect people, place, and planet.

By the end of the program, you’ll have the tools to tell stories that not only inspire appreciation for our shared humanity but also amplify the voices of those shaping the future of coexistence with nature.

Our Cinematography programs is made possible through the partnership between ClementWild Limited and RED Digital Cinema.
